This powerhouse biopic traces the legendary James Brown's rocky road from humble origins to superstardom as the Godfather of Soul. Chadwick Boseman is unforgettable in the starring role, especially his energetic dancing and moves. Most of the music heard in the film, though, is from actual James Brown performances, supplied by co-producer Mick Jagger. African-American Film Critics Association winner.
