Living with Diabetes

The Living with Diabetes Committee is one of five activities within the Health Resources Activities. The Health Resources is a set of activities related to health issues of interest to residents that is organized and conducted by volunteers to be of support and information to the community.

The purpose of the Living with Diabetes Groups is to encourage residents to work with their health care providers to clarify where on the diabetes spectrum they are and to seek treatment. The group supports individuals in managing their treatment and helping them formulate their questions to take to their health care providers.

We have separate groups for those who are in the pre-diabetes area and those who are in the diabetes area. Both groups meet on the third Monday of each month in the Heron Lounge on the 2nd floor of the Manor.

  • The Pre-Diabetes support group meets from 2-3 p.m.
