The Easter Bunny could use a little help filling eggs ahead of time, placing them early that morning, and capturing photos during the Blue Heron Foundation’s Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4. If you’d like to volunteer, please reach out to Loraine. We’d love to have you join the fun!
The last day for dining at Waterfalls is Tuesday, March 17. As we have anticipated the change, the Food and Beverage department has worked to improve dining at other venues across campus, including:
- Increased reservation capacity
- Extended dinner hours
- Guest dining availability at White Oak Grill (pending the reopening after the fire)
- Opening Riverview for lunch
- Expanded dinner hours at Elk Rock
We look forward to continuing to provide enjoyable, high-quality dining experiences for our residents. Thank you.
Follow these tips to be safe in the hot tub:
Get out of the hot tub after 15 minutes.
Using the hot tub when alone is prohibited.
Consult your physician before using the hot tub:
- if you are elderly, suffering from heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure.
- if you are using prescription medications or are pregnant.
Water and alcohol don’t mix. No one under the influence of alcohol may use the hot tub.
The Marketing department has scheduled a photographer for the afternoon of Monday, March 13, to use a drone around the Plaza for taking photographs to show examples of apartment views from Skyline (weather permitting). The drone will not be looking into apartment windows.
Starting March 10, residents and staff are invited to share their thoughts, feelings and favorite memories about the Waterfalls and its impending closure. Two large easel pads will be set up, one in the Plaza lobby outside Waterfalls and one under the TV inside Waterfalls. Please stop by anytime to add your reflections and read those shared by others. Sponsored by Wellness.
Beginning Tuesday, February 24, the Terrace Auditorium will open as a temporary dining room for Licensed Care residents and their guests. Dining hours will remain the same; breakfast 7–10 am, lunch 11am–2 pm, and dinner 4–6 pm. To Start, residents can enjoy the regular rotating menu along with an abbreviated “Always Available” menu. Seasonal specials will be introduced later in the spring.
Independent Living residents may continue to order take-out starting Tuesday, February 24. Orders may be placed online, by phone, or in person at the White Oak Grill host stand, with pickup in the same location as previously used. The take-out menu will include the rotating menu and an abbreviated selection of Always Available items.
On Tuesday, March 10 the Terrace Auditorium will open for Independent Living residents. Reservations will be required, with no walk-ins or guests permitted.
Please note that Tuesday, March 17 will be the final day of service for Waterfalls. We appreciate all the memories created there and look forward to welcoming residents into refreshed dining venues.
On Wednesday, April 1, the Terrace Auditorium Dining menus will expand to include rotating seasonal specials and a broader selection of “Always Available” items.
