Come browse and buy original art by Benno Phillipson, Marilyn Woods, and Andrea Keifer. The sale will be June 21, 2025 from 1 to 4 pm in the Blue Heron Auditorium. Paintings, drawings, and junk journals are available. In addition, a selection of art books will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit the Blue Heron Foundation. Only cash and check payments will be accepted. The public is welcome.
Elk Rock will be open for dinner starting June 27, 2025. In addition to lunch hours, dinner will be available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4 pm to 7 pm. Lunch will continue to be served Monday through Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm. Walk up service will be available for both meals.
Art in Public Areas (APA) has arranged a trip to the Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University in Salem on Tuesday July 8th. There is a new exhibition, C.S. Price, A Portrait, about this important early Portland modernist painter and a talk by C.S. Price scholar, Roger Saydack. Box lunches will be optional and can be charged, along with a $13.25 bus fee (1 hour drive) to WV account. Sign-up and further information posted Monday, June 16 at 10 am. The Artists Repertory Theatre has just announced their 2025-26 season. Watch for the bus signup sheet on the lower floor of the Manor building across from the Triangle Garden. I plan to have it out week of June 16.
It’s flashback time at the Book Boulevard! This time we’ve put out both classic fiction and nonfiction books, covering all genres. Come on down to the lower level of the Manor and check out the books.

Campus-wide window washing and patio cleaning will begin on July 29 and continue for several weeks in August. A complete schedule for each building will be shared with residents via email and in-house mail.
Raspberries will be for sale at the Pantry. Deliveries expected at 11 am. Limit 2 baskets. $3.00 per basket.
Volunteers are needed to pick our raspberries beginning soon. We pick from 7-10 am 2-3 times a week during the short harvest season. No experience needed. Please come to work at least one hour each time. Call Tom Beck (503 357-1680) to volunteer or for more information.
