Area of Focus
The Council Treasurer works with the Finance Committee to manage the finances of the Resident Council and the Employee Appreciation Fund.
Council Responsibilities
- Attend all Council and Association meetings.
- Serve as a resource in terms of policies and procedures related to Willamette View Administration and the Council.
- Serve as an advocate, and when requested, gain Council approval or support.
- Serve as a facilitator and assist in any leadership and organizational issues that may arise.
- Provide written reports to the Council for the activities under the Councilor position.
- Report to the Council on accomplishments, concerns, or new information within the assigned position.
- Participate fully in Council discussions and decisions on issues of concern and interest to the community.
- Be open to resident feedback.
Specific Position Responsibilities
- Works with other Officers to develop meeting agendas.
- Anticipate evolving needs and interests of residents.
- Report to Council as needed on areas of responsibility.
- Manage the finances of the Resident Council and the Employee Appreciation Fund in accordance with the WV Constitution and Council Standing Rules.
- Reconcile bank statement monthly.
- Prepare and distribute quarterly reports to all Activity Fund Managers.
- Prepare monthly reports of Account Balances and Transactions.
- Prepare and submit IRS Form 990EZ.
- Prepare the request to Blue Heron Foundation for matching grant July 1 and January 1.
- Prepare report to Blue Heron Foundation documenting use of funds received in recent grant.
- Meet with Finance Committee as non-voting member.
