Babette's Feast

Event info

Babette arrives as a political refugee in a remote Danish village. The village's dwindling population is made up of aging members of an austere sect. Babette volunteers to keep house "free" for two of the sect's elderly sisters. For 14 years, Babette serves the sisters only the bland foods their sect allows. But when Babette wins the lottery, her act of generosity changes the lives of everyone in the village.
