Moving In - New Residents

People leaning against the word Welcome

The Art of Living Well is different for each of us and we recognize that. Please know that we are a friendly community that is courteous with staff, administration, and residents alike.  Feel free to ask directions from anyone you meet in the halls. For any frustrating situation please ask your Host or call the Manor Desk “0” for Resident Services.

All the public areas across campus are open to everyone. You are welcome to attend any activity listed in the Willamette Views, Friday Notice, or this website with no commitment. There is no need to jump into an activity right away.  We all contribute to the whole when the time is right.

Settle in and enjoy living at Willamette View!

Host

All new residents are offered a Host by the New Resident Hospitality Committee. Your Host is there to help you get acquainted with your new community and find your way around. They are well trained and have a wealth of information to help you in the early days.

We also encourage you to take advantage of Hosted Meals arranged for you at your convenience by your new neighbors. These meals in our dining venues are a wonderful way to get acquainted with residents and learn more about Willamette View.

Tips for Moving In

Manor Reception - Manor Reception can answer most questions about Resident Services that are not included in your New Resident Notebook. The Manor Reception desk is located inside the Manor main entrance. You can reach it by dialing “0” from your house phone. Hours are 8 am to 8 pm, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. When you dial “0” after hours, your call is forwarded to the Security team’s cell phone to provide assistance.

Moving Boxes and Cartons - If your moving company does not take away empty boxes, please flatten them and call Maintenance Services (ext. 6678) for pickup. Please do not leave empty boxes in hallways.

Phone Service - Please keep a landline for emergency contact.  All Willamette View phone numbers are registered with the Clackamas County 911 service and the National Do Not Call registry.  In addition, Willamette View staff are alerted when you dial 911 from a Willamette View phone. Maintenance Services will contact you soon after your move-in day to help with set up for both your phone and voicemail.

Electronics and Flat Screen TV Installation - Maintenance can help with basic electronic hook ups.  Call Maintenance Services (ext. 6778) when you are ready.

Locked Out? - There is an emergency key for your use at Manor Reception or Terrace Reception.  After hours, call Security 503-730-5337 or ext. 7356 from a house phone.

Package Pickup - Luxer boxes are located at the entrance of most buildings. You will receive a code through e-mail or your Luxer app when you have a package. The Health Center Neighborhoods receive packages at the Front Desk, and River Ridge at each home.

Did you bring too much?  To donate clothing and housewares, visit the Carousel and arrange for a Carousel volunteer to visit your apartment.  To donate furniture to the Mart, call ext. 6807. Both are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
