Politically incorrect, relentlessly funny, Mel Brooks` version of Hollywood westerns follows a tortuous trail of Barts who is elected the sheriff of the racist town of Rock Ridge. He must foil a land grabbing governor (Mel Brooks) with help from a washed up gunslinger (Gene Wilder).
