The Piano

Holly Hunter stars as a mute but strong willed nineteenth century Scottish expatriate who arrives in New Zealand with her daughter (Anna Paquin) and her beloved piano in tow. Altho betrothed to a land owner (Sam Neill) she is pulled in to an affair with a laborer ( Harvey Keitel). Oscars to Hunter and Paquin in this haunting drama from writer-director Jane Campion.
