Run Silent Run Deep

Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster star in this thriller in which Gable portrays a single minded commander who lost his submarine during an overzealous pursuit and has sworn to take revenge against the Japanese destroyer who sunk his ship. On the new vessel the executive officer (Lancaster) believes his obsession is putting the crew's lives in jeopardy leading to the talk of mutiny.
