Set in a destitute, tiny fishing village, "educing Dr. Lewis" shows how far people will go to regain their pride. Villagers learn a factory could be built nearby, but only if they can entice a doctor to move to St. Marie-La-Mauderne. Their plan is crafty, hilarious, unlikely, and ingenious.
