A brilliantly written and colorfully acted satire on how hard it is to get a Hollywood movie made. John Travolta is cool as Chili Palmer, the Miami mafioso who loves movies and meets schlock Hollywood director Harry Zimm (Gene Hackman). Barry Sonnenfeld directs with a fine supporting cast, including Danny DeVito, Harvey Keitel, and Rene Russo.
