Beyond the superficial "action," The Order is a fascinating look at the real hate groups of the Pacific NW, their philosophies, and the schism between those who merely preach hate and those who wanted to "do something." It's not just Hollywood contrivance to amuse an audience. Real people said and did the things shown and a real FBI agent had to work to counter the "do something" offshoot. The preachers of venom remain, shielded by the 1st amendment, but the film at least exposes their preachings.
