The Blue Heron Players, under the direction of Carol Knowles, will perform Sarah Ruhl’s internationally acclaimed play, “Dear Elizabeth,” which celebrates the lives of two of America’s best loved poets: Elizabeth Bishop (performed by Mary Helen Socolofsky) and Robert Lowell (portrayed by Alan Ely). Ely also performs a Chopin prelude and a Grieg tone poem, piano masterworks that mirror the brilliant minds of Bishop and Lowell.
