Resident Council Content Editor Job Description
Area of Focus
Supports the Resident Council by collecting, managing and publishing Resident Council information on the resident website. This includes keeping Council pages up to date and accurate. The Content Editor reports to the Resident Council Vice Chair.
Key Responsibilities
- Enters and maintains Council-level content on the resident website in a timely, organized, and accurate manner
- Assists standing committees and activity groups as needed with management of their website pages and refers to Website Technology Workgroup if the needs are extensive or ongoing
- Coordinates with Council Secretary to ensure Council documents are available on the resident website
- Coordinates Council and activity information with Friday Notice and Willamette Views

- Strong written and digital communication
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to coordinate activities through email communication, including gathering information, following up on requests, tracking responses, and communicating to stakeholders the content requirements and deadlines.
- Basic computer skills, such as, but not limited to:
- Use of word processing software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Google docs, PDF)
- Use of Email and shared file platforms (e.g. Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive)
- Website content creation and maintenance using structured forms and templates
