- Batteries – There are buckets located in the various trash rooms in WV buildings; a GT volunteer sorts and delivers to WV Inc for proper disposal. Please put hearing aid and smaller button batteries in baggies for easier sorting.
- Medications – The Health and Wellness office has mail-in shipping envelopes which can be obtained by residents for unwanted prescriptions to be properly sent off and disposed. Residents may also take unused/unwanted meds to local pharmacies' collection boxes for safe disposal.
- Sharps: Razor Blades, Needles, Syringes, Blood Strips – These require a special collection container which you can get for free at Manor Reception. Take your full container of sharps to exchange for an empty one.
- Unused Gift Wrap, Greeting Cards, Unwrinkled Tissue Paper – Take to the Carousel.
- Prescription Eye Glasses & Hearing Aids – Take to Manor Reception for Lions Club to reuse.
- Cell Phones – Take them to Manor Reception. Wireless Alliance picks them up, destroys the data and recycles them.
- Large Non-Working Appliances – Televisions, microwaves, printers, etc. Call 6678 for pick up.
- Clothing, small household items – Phone the Carousel at 6236 to arrange for donation of your items.
- Furniture, Lamps, Mirrors, Pictures – Can be taken to The Mart.
