Based on an Evelyn Waugh novel, this is a dark "off the wall" satire on the funeral business, in which a young British poet (Robert Morse) goes to work at a Hollywood cemetery. He tries to understand this American commercial institution and meets several fanatical workers there: Jonathan Winters, Rod Steiger, Liberace, Milton Berle, Robert Morley, Tab Hunter, James Coburn.
