Strangers in Good Company

A Canadian bus breaks down deep in the Quebec countryside. The passengers are eight elderly women who share life stories while creatively handling the lack of food, water, beds, electricity, and certainty about their future. A New York Times review said, "You may not think a story about a bunch of old ladies stranded together in a Quebec farmhouse sounds very appealing, but guess again. It's charming, cheerful, and poignant, thanks to a wonderful group of mostly octogenarians who have never acted before."
