The Willamette View Chorus has existed for more than 35 years. It is a large singing group with a paid director. The chorus usually gives two concerts per year. They have an executive committee that deals with the organizational needs as well as negotiating the director’s annual contract. They must follow Resident Council financial procedures.
It is open to all residents who enjoy singing with a group. No auditions are required.
Weekly rehearsals for a December concert begin in September, and weekly rehearsals in January for a May concert.
A non-resident, qualified Choral Director is contracted by the Chorus. The director's fee is split between the Chorus and Willamette View, Inc. Each chorus member pays a semi-annual fee to cover Chorus expenses. Members may also make additional donations.
