Assistant Treasurer

Area of Focus

The Assistant Treasurer serves as a backup to the Treasurer, in addition to specific financial assignments.

Council Responsibilities

  • Attend all Council and Association meetings.
  • Serve as a resource in terms of policies and procedures related to Willamette View Administration and the Council.
  • Serve as an advocate, and when requested, gain Council approval or support.
  • Serve as a facilitator and assist in any leadership and organizational issues that may arise.
  • Report to the Council on accomplishments, concerns, or new information within the assigned position.
  • Participate fully in Council discussions and decisions on issues of concern and interest to the community.
  • Be open to resident feedback.

Specific Position Responsibilities

  • Assist the Council Treasurer.
  • Collect, document, and deposit revenue from Council supported activities and events.
  • Collect check requests, print, sign, and distribute check to appropriate activities.
  • Assist the Council Treasurer in preparing and distributing month-end and year-end reports.
  • Coordinate with the Publicity Coordinator of the Employee Appreciation Program (EAP), including:
    — Collect and deposit all donations
    — Document fund balances
    — Report periodically on progress of fund balance
    — Assist in the preparation of EAP checks
  • Attend Officers and Council meetings.
  • Attend Finance Committee meetings as a non-voting member
