Dian Fossey’s work to save the gorillas of Uganda is the basis for this work. Fossey (Sigourney Weaver) bonds with the beautiful animals and becomes wary of the poachers who prey on them. To protect the gorillas in Rwanda and Uganda she organizes a defense league, which puts her in a perilous situation. Julie Harris, Bryan Brown and John Omirah Miluwi fill out the cast.
