This is a bio-drama of Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Supreme Court Justice. Before that achievement, Marshall, played by Chadwick Boseman, was an attorney for the NAACP, defending innocent African-Americans from unjust indictments. This movie focuses on one of his first cases in 1940, where the judge refuses to let him speak a word. Thus, Marshall has to guide a novice insurance lawyer, played by Josh Gad, to handle the career-defining case. CAPTIONS
