Based on Agatha Christie's novel, this is the original film version of detective Hercule Poirot (played by Albert Finney) as he travels from Istanbul on the Orient Express. When the train is stopped by deep snow, Poirot is called on to solve a murder that occurred the night before; in order to do so, he interviews the 13 eccentric suspects on the train, among them Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Bacall, John Gielgud, Anthony Perkins, Vanessa Redgrave, and Sean Connery. Bergman won an Oscar as Best Supporting Actress and Gielgud a BAFTA award as Best Supporting Actor. CAPTIONS
