Tom Hanks plays an old Civil War Veteran who makes his living reading the âNewsâ to small towns across the West. Everything changes when he is charged with taking a 10-year old girl, raised by the Kiowa people, to her aunt hundreds of dusty and dangerous miles across the plains of Texas.
