From a novel written in 1935 of actual accounts during WW1, this classic Stanley Kubrick anti-war film shows 2 French Generals (Adolphe Menjou & George Macready) ordering their men on a suicide mission. When the soldiers refuse, they are court-martialed and will be executed if found guilty. A former lawyer turned colonel (Kirk Douglas) is the voice of reason against this tragic injustice.
