Due to numerous surgeries for his rare facial deformity, Auggie Pullman (Jacob Tremblay) is home-schooled by his parents, Isabel (Julia Roberts) and Nate (Owen Wilson). When he reaches 5th grade, they make the decision for Auggie to attend a private Prep school--but he is ostracized by nearly all the students and faces many challenges.
