Areas of Focus

The Technology Councilor serves as liaison between the Resident Technology Organization and the Resident Council.

Council Responsibilities

  • Attend all Council and Association meetings.
  • Serve as a resource in terms of policies and procedures related to Willamette View Administration and the Council.
  • Serve as an advocate, and when requested, gain Council approval or support.
  • Serve as a facilitator and assist in any leadership and organizational issues that may arise.
  • Provide written reports to the Council for the activities under the Councilor position.
  • Report to the Council on accomplishments, concerns, or new information within the assigned position.
  • Participate fully in Council discussions and decisions on issues of concern and interest to the community.
  • Be open to resident feedback.

Specific Position Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Joint Technology Steering Committee.
  • Provide support to the resident technology workgroups.
  • Provide support to the Resident Council Content Editor.
  • Ensure each activity has a named leader and designated backups.
  • Serve as a resource to technology groups as they interact with policies and procedures of the Resident Council and Willamette View administration and employees.
  • Assist with any leadership or organizational issues that may arise.
  • Promote the work of assigned activities, reporting on them regularly at Council.
  • Keep notebook up to date.
