Adapted from Neil Simon's Broadway hit, this comedy finds a New York newly-wed couple (Robert Redford and Jane Fonda) with opposite personalities, trying to live together in their 5th floor walk-up apartment. He's a conservative lawyer while she's fun-loving and adventuresome. To add to their mayhem is her strait-laced mother (Mildred Natwick) and their eccentric neighbor (Charles Boyer).
