This powerful anti-war movie, shows a lonely war bride (Jane Fonda) finding friendship with a paraplegic Vietnam veteran (Jon Voight). When her husband (Bruce Dern) returns from Vietnam earlier than expected, the relationships are put to the test. Fonda and Voight won both the Oscar and Golden Globe as Best Actors and the film won the Oscar for Best Screenplay.
