This film is based on the true story of career criminal Forrest Tucker (portrayed by Robert Redford), from his prison escape at the age of 70 to a string of heists that confounded authorities and enchanted the public. Wrapped up in his life are detective John Hunt (Casey Affleck), who becomes captivated with Forrest's commitment to his craft, and Jewell (Sissy Spacek), the woman who loves him in spite of his chosen profession.
