This story takes place during the American Civil War in a dilapidated Virginia mansion of a Seminary for Young Ladies, occupied by the headmistress (Nicole Kidman), 5 students, and a teacher (Kirsten Dunst). Into their lives comes a wounded Union colonel (Colin Farrell). Soon the women find themselves competing for the alluring man's attention. Unfortunately, this handsome soldier is a manipulator and con man--but will the ladies stay "beguiled" by his charm? Captions
