The Willamette View Chorus has existed for more than 35 years. It is a large singing group with a paid director. The chorus usully gives two concerts per year. They have an executive committee that deals with the organizational needs as well as negotiating the director’s annual contract. They must follow Resident Council financial procedures.
It is open to all residents who enjoy singing with a group. No auditions are required.
Weekly rehearsals begin in September and end after the concerts on December 4 and 5. Chorus takes a break until January 16, 2025, when weekly rehearsals resume. Spring concerts are scheduled for May 7 and 8, 2025.
A non-resident, qualified Choral Director is contracted by the Chorus. The director's fee is split between the Chorus and Willamette View, Inc. Each chorus member pays a semi-annual fee to cover Chorus expenses. Members may also make additional donations.
