Blue Heron Players Present "Dear Jack, Dear Louise"

The Blue Heron Players, under the direction of Carol Knowles, will perform Tony Award winning playwright, Ken Ludwig’s “Dear Jack, Dear Louise”. This internationally acclaimed play is the true story of Ludwig’s parents’ courtship told through a reconstruction of letters they wrote one another during WWII.

To introduce “Dear Jack, Dear Louise,” pianist Amy Torgerson will perform a medley of excerpts from popular songs of the 1940’s including “It Had to Be You,” “Goodnight, Sweetheart,” and “As Time Goes By.”

The actors performing the roles of Jack and Louise are Jim and Lois King, a married couple at WV who are invested in the arts and in serving our community.  Jim’s and Lois’ finely-tuned sensibilities allow them to portray the full range of Jack’s and Louise’s emotions including feelings of loss, passion, regret, forgiveness and love.
