Willamette View Reads 2026

Willamette View libraries is happy to announce Willamette View Reads 2026, a community reads program.  Multiple copies of The Tree Collectors, Tales of Arboreal Obsession, written and illustrated by local New York Times best selling author Amy Stewart will be available for check out in our libraries beginning September 1.

How do you participate?

In a community reads program, we all read the same book, attend related programs, and talk about it. 

Here’s what happens:

  • The Willamette View Library provides 30 copies of the book
  • You check out and read The Tree Collectors
  • A library subcommittee provides a variety of programs highlighting the book 

You can check out a book beginning September 1 at 10:00 am from one of the libraries.  If no copies are available, we invite you to fill in a green reserve slip and we will make sure you get the next available copy.  Checkout time is limited to two weeks so everyone gets a chance to read The Tree Collectors.

Wednesday, October 21, 10:00 am, Marilyn Feldhaus presents a book review of The Tree Collectors in the Blue Heron Auditorium

Tuesday, November 3, 7:00 pm, Amy Stewart presents her Author talk in the Blue Heron Auditorium
