Choice Dining Credits
- Willamette View offers all Independent Living residents a flexible, decreasing-balance dining program called Choice Dining. Each resident receives, on a per-person basis, a predetermined amount of "dining credits" per month. Joint occupants may combine their monthly dining credits. Choice Dining is based on menu pricing and allows selection of as many or as few items as a resident would like each day, using dining credits only for what was ordered. Price for items on menus may be adjusted from time to time based on changes in food costs. Dining credits are not transferable and cannot be gifted to other residents.
Away Credits
(Does not apply to Residents in Licensed Care areas)
- If you are away from Willamette View for more than 14 days in a row, a credit for food will be given starting on the 15th day of absence (prorated daily). There is no credit for the first 14 days you are away.
- If you are absent for 60 days or more, a food credit is given retroactive to day one, starting on the 61st day of absence.
- A food credit for a hospital stay is applied following the 14-day absence as noted above; a credit starts on the 15th day of absence.
- If you are in the Short Stay/Skilled Nursing unit in the Willamette View Health Center, you receive no food credit; the Skilled Nursing unit's daily rate has been adjusted, reduced to reflect the food credit.
