Yes. Bring your wine and the server will give you a wine glass. If you prefer mixed drinks, bring your favorite liquor and mixer or bring your drink premixed. Again, the server will be glad to get you a glass and ice if you desire.

Yes. Bring your spice or sauce.

Willamette View currently does not provide service to any outdoor dining areas. But there are plenty of great outdoor areas to enjoy a meal with with other residents or family and friends. You can order meals for pickup from Riverview or White Oak Dining rooms or get take out from or the Marketplace and take them outside to your favorite spot. Or you can bring your own food. Outdoor eating venues include North Pointe Patio, North Lawn under the Oaks (tables and chairs are set up during the summer months), Cove Patio, the Duck Ponds and the Terrace, and the Court roof.

Remember to clean up after yourself.

Yes, but it is best reserved for Items on the Available Any Time portion of the menu in the White Oak Grill. The daily specials do not lend themselves to Cook to Order as they are often prepared ahead of time.

Let your server know in a polite and constructive manner. Often, the server can remedy the situation promptly. If not, make constructive use of the Speak Up Form.

Yes, just ask your server and if you want dessert for later ask for one to go.

Yes, of course. Inviting other residents to share a meal is a common and great way to get to know other residents at Willamette View, so reach out!

Be specific when ordering. Tell the server that you want two pats of butter with your potato, what type and how much of sweetener, or both ketchup and mustard, as well as any other sides you would like. Good communications are the key to getting what you want!

Often times, yes. Ask your server. Many times, they are able to offer and suggest substitutions.

The Riverview and White Oak Grill are full-service, sit-down dining rooms. The White Oak Grill offers lunch and dinner service, and Riverview offers only dinner service. Reservations are required for dinner at both Riverview and White Oak Grill. Waterfalls is a limited buffet for lunch and dinner that offers only the daily specials, salad soup, fruit, and dessert.

The Marketplace has ready-made food to go, i.e., sandwiches, salads, ice cream, soups, jello, yogurt, crackers, fresh fruit, fresh baked goods, bread, etc. Purchases for most items at the Marketplace are via food credits (also known as "points") EXCEPT alcohol drinks. Additionally, the Pantry is a resident-run store that offers household goods including food products and drinks. Dining points may not be used for purchases in the Pantry and charges may be added to your monthly Willamette View bill.

No, cell phones are not to be used in the dining rooms. You can either silence your phone or if you are expecting an important call, you may leave the dining room when the call arrives. Please take any phone conversations away from other residents or outside if possible.

The Dining Portal is where you can order food online or check your dining credit balance. It is also where you can make reservations for dinner at Riverview or the White Oak Grill.
