Christine provided application forms so that those who did not have library cards could receive them at this visit and we were very impressed by her thoughtfulness as well as the breadth of the library's services.

Thirteen residents took a tour of the Creo Chocolate store in NE Portland and saw how their chocolates are made. We learned how the cacao beans are grown and harvested in Equador and turned into chocolate candy here in Portland. There was an interesting, illustrated talk about sustainable farming and the environment, as well as biodegradable packaging. We supported their gift shop!
