Outings

 Ten WV residents visited this rehearsal, including a visit to their costume shop and an informative guide.  The dancers were amazing!

Thirteen residents took a tour of the Creo Chocolate store in NE Portland and saw how their chocolates are made. We learned how the cacao beans are grown and harvested in Equador and turned into chocolate candy here in Portland. There was an interesting, illustrated talk about sustainable farming and the environment, as well as biodegradable packaging. We supported their gift shop!

A window-tour of  Bob's Red Mill factory with narration by Dennis Gilliam, resident and employee (retired).  Also a visit to the store and an opportunity for lunch at the Bob's Red Mill cafe.

A bus trip to Timberline Lodge with narrative on the bus by David Kohnstamm, Wellness Director, whose family has managed Timberline for many years. The outing included a US Forest Service tour of the lodge and a buffet lunch.
